What is honour
We honour people for a variety of reasons, including their position, power, accomplishments, integrity, and intellect.
Honour involves recognising the true value of a person’s make-up [character] or contributions and speaking it to them and to others. It is a celebration of another’s unique gifts, personality and calling.
We demonstrate that honour through the attitudes, affections, and actions we direct toward the person being honoured.
How do we honour the Prophet saw?
The essence of what it means to honour the Prophet saw God has been revealed:
To honour the Prophet saw means to acknowledge his saw claim, and his saw superiority in terms of his saw abilities, his saw rank, and his services to the community; it is to revere him saw in our hearts and minds, and to confer on him saw the regard, respect, and devotion, which are due to him saw. We express this honour through:
The attitude we have toward the Prophet saw which will include admiration, adoration, and awe.
The affections we experience toward the Prophet saw which will include praise, submission, and obedience.
The actions we undertake for the Prophet saw which will include promoting his saw honour and safeguarding his saw legacy – which involve protecting his saw relics, home, and other structures related to him saw.
With regard to the birthplace, as part of your honouring the Prophet saw requires you to save the birthplace. Its that simple. Here are 14 reasons why to honour the Prophet saw, demands that you preserve his saw birthplace.
1. Due Honour
According to Islamic belief, the Prophet saw is deserving of the highest honour from a believer: the devotion of a believer’s life to his saw glory and loving service, because of both who he saw is and what he saw has accomplished. The Prophet saw is a man, of course, but he saw is the Supreme Man. He saw is the petitioner to the Divine for a believer’s ease and success in this world, and salvation in the hereafter, and his saw efforts to save humankind from perdition came at great personal cost.
Those who understand the highest Islamic doctrines, believe that our very life and breadth comes from God on account of the Prophet saw. All that we have, we have received from God because of the Prophet saw. God is to be honoured above all, and we can honour God if we live, not for our own glory, but for His Prophet’s saw glory. The Prophet saw is worthy of all honour. The honour owed to the Prophet saw, by individuals and the state, is as perfect as possible, since he saw is perfectly honourable. For believers to present themselves as bondservants to the honour of the Prophet saw is no more than duty dictates luke17:10.
2. Bringing Joy To The Prophet Saw
The Prophets of God ams need to see themselves in their ams followers. They long to see how they have impacted their communities, how their followers are a reflection of their teachings and their values. Following the Prophet’s as guidance, displaying gratitude and esteem for his as work, and considering his as relics as sacred, are simple measures but ones that bring great joy and honour to the Prophets ams.
When a believer greets the Prophet saw at his saw mosque in Medina, the Prophet saw hears it and responds to the salutation. The Quran makes clear that the Prophets ams of God are alive in their graves, in a form of existence incomprehensible to humankind…. Therefore, they are acutely cognisant of the state of their respective communities in this world – including what the degree of respect and esteem each believer accords them honours them with..
3. Honour to remember
In the three theistic religions, it is taught that the source of honour is God. The ultimate aim of human life is that the glory of God to be displayed and, thus, the highest characteristic of an honourable person is how they honour God. Throughout his Prophethood, the Prophet saw honoured God with the highest glory. The Prophet saw is remembered for displaying excellence in all areas of his saw life and raising the standards of honour for everyone in society. He saw taught followers to train themselves to be persons of honour, and by treating with honour, you will be honouring God and thus you will find favour with God.
God Himself has advised that one of the greatest ways to exalt Him is to exalt His Emissaries. Those who God wants us to remember, He guides us to honour, for we only treasure what we honour and respect. We tend to forget all the rest. Surrounding ourselves with accounts of historic people [[m.figures]] performing courageous and honourable acts, and preserving physical sites that reinforce those accounts, ensures that those figures continue to be honoured through the ages, whilst inspiring you [m, us]]to live your life [[m. our lives]] similarly. This a key role of the Birthplace. It is situated directly opposite the great Mosque and the Kaaba for a reason.

The highest honouring is giving the Prophet saw our very best, not our second-best. We are called to give our best talent, time, wealth, etc. for the service of the Prophet saw. To serve is to recognise his saw greatness, his saw mercy, his saw kindnesses, and his saw entitlements.
In saving the Prophet’s saw home, it is our time to put forward our sincerest and finest efforts, for that is what the task requires, and that is what will be put forward before God and the Prophet saw on the Day when our lives, and any efforts to honour God and His Prophet saw, will be evaluated and rewarded.
5. Honouring The Holy Family

6. Rewards Of Honour
There is extraordinary power in honour. God has prepared great rewards for those who obey Him and honour those He has commanded us to honour. In all divine religions, God urges followers to go out of our way/perform deliberate actions to show these people honour. Thus, for believers, honouring the Prophet saw is God-ordained and God-pleasing honour, it amounts to the blessing of honouring God by honouring others; and in the context of our discussion, that means you treat everything belonging to the Prophet saw as extremely precious and with a strong sense of needing to safeguard it.
7. Motivates visitors to ask key questions
The site of the birthplace provokes visitors to reflect on the impact that the Prophet’s saw birth and existence has had on their lives. Where would they be today, if he saw had not come to this world? Would they now be amongst those people who they consider now to be on the incorrect path.
What would the picture of our lives be without the Prophet saw, because it was the Prophet saw who taught us how to make sense of this life and this world.
His saw life improved the lives of the billions who followed him saw.
If a Prophet of God ams has gone physically from this world, for the devote, they are definitely not gone in spirit - a piece of them lives on inside their followers because of the impact they ams have had on them. This needs to be acknowledged, for when someone has touched and affected us deeply, it affects who we are as a person. It can change our thoughts and opinions and even make us want to do something in particular with our lives, or to become a certain type of person. By acknowledging the ways in which the Prophet saw has affected you, you can always keep them in your heart with you, and this can lead you to become closer to them, whilst, through the channels created by God, make them aware of your esteem and affection for them.
8. Your Public Announcement
When you stand up for the Prophet’s saw Birthplace, you say publicly that it is in honour of him saw. You are expressing out loud the respect and honour you have for the Prophet saw.
That you are willing to openly declare the Prophet’s greatness encourages others to see the Prophet saw in this light and honour him saw as well. In Particular, you let non-Muslims know that not only do you sincerely believe the Prophet saw is so worthy that you feel it essential to invest your time and efforts into saving his saw home, but that they too should respect him saw, or at the very least, not hurt your sentiments by disparaging him saw.
Praise also affects us (praise affects observers/spectators)when we acknowledge God’s greatness, it strengthens our own faith.
9. Eulogise The Prophet Saw
The presence of the Birthplace enhances makes the atmosphere in Mecca more conducive for visitors to the city to be reminded of the Prophet’s life, to want to discuss it, and to want to eulogise it. These eulogies, whether to/within oneself, or amongst others, [are delivered to] bring honour and praise to the memory of the Prophet saw; for some, they provide inspiration or help establish a deeper connection to the Prophet saw. as a present signifying remembrance.
These eulogies allows visitors to express the impact that the Prophet’s saw birth and existence has had on their lives. They display also how much the Prophet saw means to them, and they help keep the Prophet saw alive in their hearts.
10. Assist others to honour the Prophet saw
By saving the Bp, you’re give many others the opportunity to visit a place that is of immense importance/special to the Prophet saw, and which is an act that [which in turn] can deepen the connection they feel with[t. to] the Prophet saw and encourage them too to honour the Prophet saw at a greater level.
11. The Bp Strengthens The Relationship With The Prophet Saw
Having a place to honour a historic figure can function as a kind of depossession. The underlying principal is that of letting go of an unconscious identification with that person and assuming a stance of relationship. When we designate a physical place to honour someone, they are externalised in this process, and their sanctified place then serves to remind us of the ongoing relationship.
The physical place may become a sacred space in this world for enhancing the relationship with the figure?, much in the same way that a copy of the Quran becomes infused with holy meaning both through our perception and also presumably through the agency of God. By anchoring the presence of the historic personality somewhere outside our bodies, yet still in the physical world, we both externalise the figure and create conditions that support ongoing relationship.
The BP is a physical place to honour the Prophet saw, and has for centuries been aiding and enhancing believers’ relationship with the Prophet saw.
12. Maintaining The Relationship
The Prophets ams of God are invested in seeing their followers thrive and fulfil their responsibility to be God-obeying communities/people. In Islam, this can only be fully achieved by establishing a relationship with the Prophet saw of high respect and obedience. Just as in any meaningful relationship, the bond with the Prophet saw [m. also] calls for care and renewal. By proactively engaging in simple[small or great] actions to honour and feed that relationship, the Prophet saw can become a tremendous source of assistance in seeking from God success, healing, and forgiveness for his saw followers.
13. You are the highest honour of our race
From an Islamic perspective, of all the blessings gifted/created by God to/for the human race, the greatest was the Prophet saw. According to the Quran, human beings were collectively given great esteem by God by being appointed vicegerents of the Divine on earth. They were also granted the opportunity to excel past the angels through obedience to Divine decrees. Yet despite these accolades, the sending of the Prophet saw was the highest honour given to the human race.
14. Levels Of Honour
To publicly honour a person one must give honour, praise, recognition etc., equal to the stature of the person, or at the highest level achievable by the giver.
The degree of honour we bestow on someone varies greatly depending on their position and achievements – the higher their standing, the more lavish the honour. For instance, the honour bestowed by shareholders onto a company chairman for delivering a high profits, is quite different from the honour bestowed by a grateful nation on a commander for winning a war.
Similarly, one cannot give the same level of honour to a Prophet of God ams as to the holder of any other office, appointment, or status, be they a celebrity, sportsperson, mayor, governor, judge, senator, member of parliament, minister primeminister, or president. The Prophets of God ams are a class of human beings endowed with perfection and carrying out Divine assignments; and prophethood is the highest office possible for a human being.
Once some inkling of the Prophet’s saw stature is gleaned it becomes obvious that honouring the Prophet saw as befits his position cannot be achieved adequately by o rdinary mortals alone, and therefore, we must honour him saw to the highest level achievable in society – which is through the resources of the state.
However, if a public, or its religious or political leaders, have not reached the stage where they can accord the Prophet saw recognition and praise commensurate with his saw stature, then at the very least, they must display respect for the relics and property which were left behind by the Prophet saw and his saw Companions - and purposely not destroyed by them - and which have become a valuable means [for believers to be reminded / for/]of the remembrance of the Prophet saw. .. as in chridstian church Caliph Umar… there worried
Every Muslim Nation [[exists only because of the Prophet saw, and therefore every Muslim nation]] Must honour the Prophet to the highest extent possible.
12. Hypocrites
Honouring the Prophet saw cannot be limited to the external performances of easy rituals or ceremonies. A believer is commanded to honour the Prophet saw with both “lips and heart”. Hypocrites honour the Prophet saw with the words of their mouths but their hearts are far removed from him saw. Where required, a true believer honours the Prophet saw by sacrificing his time, effort, convenience, and finances.
1. The Prophet’s Personal Possession
The Bp site was once a personal possession of the Prophet saw – one of the very few still existing today. It is closely linked to his saw parents.
It is a universal human characteristic to retain and visit belongings associated with respected or loved historical figures, be they birthplaces, personal effects, or their original works. The very act of this type of preservation draws respect from observers. From a Muslim perspective, if it is considered praiseworthy to do this for ordinary human beings, then it is even more so, even obligatory, to do so for the prime human being.
2. He saw is too mighty to have his saw possessions destroyed
If the immense standing of the Prophet saw were truly understood by the extremists, they would immediately and permanently desist from hurting the Prophet’s saw sentiments, let alone destroying his saw property, for fear of the consequences such as that of severe, Divine retribution.
The Prophet saw came from the elite class of human beings known as the Divine emissaries. According to Islamic doctrine, the Prophet saw is the highest ranking such emissary and as such he saw is second-in-command of the universe, after God. All creation – including, human beings, angels, Jinn, and spirits - are subordinate to him and subject to his leadership… to recognise his worth…
The possessions of Prophets ams are accorded mention and honour in the Quran, and at the very least, the same degree of respect and veneration is expected towards the Prophet’s belongings and property. Those who tamper with, or destroy the relics of the Prophets ams, do so at their peril.
3. Keeping the BP Honours Muslims of the past
Keeping the bp intact honours the achievements of the Prophet’s saw Family, Companions (Sahaba), and Muslim leaders of the past 1500 years, who worked tirelessly to keep the Birthplace in existence. This particularly includes the Saudi royal family who have resisted intense pressure from extremists to destroy the Birthplace.
For those great of heart, they can dedicate their positive actions today in saving the Birthplace in the name of those of the past who endured struggles and hardships in protecting the Birthplace.
While most traditions have some way of recognizing the spiritual benefit of good deeds and of the blessings that flow from such acts, some, including Islam and Christianity, hold that the energetic effects of actions can, at least to some degree, be directed or linked to others who did not carry out the actions themselves: for example, an individual feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, or donating to a charity in the name of another person.
The practice of donating the merit of charitable actions to others is a private ritual that brings spiritual benefits to both the donor and as well as the donee.
